For markets, events and demonstrations outdoors, I have a small tent to use. The tent contains my equipment as well as a small sales table. It is very small, with a footprint of only 4 metres width and 5 metres depth (the front flap is used as an awning). The tent requires a ground that will hold tent pegs.
The tent.
View of the sales table.
The sales table has a high resemblance to a museum display, as the pieces on offer are highly specialised textile tools and materials. This makes the table interesting to look at for visitors. Sales table layout can be adjusted to the character of your event, or, if you have booked me for a demonstration, to go with the demonstration.
As textile techniques require good light, I close the stall at dusk.
For outdoor demonstration with the Great Wheel, some sheltered space with good protection against rain is required for bad weather. Minimum space in the shelter is 3 by 3 metres, minimum height 2,30 metres. Of course demonstrations are also possible indoors!
