Spinning Pictures.

You've seen enough pictures of bobbins now - time to see more spinning pictures, but with actual spinning in them:

It is coming along nicely, the spinning work. Not every day is like every other one, but today felt like a really good one - which is nice, as I want to have a good batch done and ready to go into the post by the end of this week.

There is, of course, also the periodical checking of thread thickness and spinning angle:

For today, though, I'm done spinning. More thread will be made tomorrow!

I've got a few questions.
Is the Romney different from the Eider wool that you spun for the dye penetration experiment?
What is that red/yellow gizmo you added to the set-up? A replacement for the angry cat?

Yes, the Romney is different - it is a little finer than the Eider wool. Otherwise, though, I think they feel rather similar to spin, and I like them both very much.
The red and yellow thing is a special kind of stopwatch. Actually, it's a thing designed for gaming, with four timers for four players, and it can count up or down (so that everyone has the same amount of time for a turn, or a whole game). In my case, it only counts up - I really like it because I can use different sides for different tasks, and it is so easy and foolproof to stop by laying it onto the table instead of standing it up.
