Cold! It's cold outside!

It's finally been cold for a few days - this winter was not very cold overall, there was almost no snow, only a light dusting for a few hours or, at most, two or so days. I started a tradition years ago with a snowdrop celebration. After a lot of festivities up to Januari the 25th, we wouldn't have a party until en of April, so I started to celebrate the flowering of the first snowdrops with a white cake. That used to be in March, so it would nicely fill that enormous gap between our official cake-eating occasions.
Nowadays it is at least one month earlier.
